What are countersunk block magnets?
Countersunk block magnets are ideal for signage, woodworking, and cabinet making as well as for creating magnetic fasteners, latches, and closures.
Neodymium block magnets can be utilized for attaching components in everything from scale models to large heavy-duty commercial equipment. They can also be used to secure signs and banners to retail, trade-show and workplace displays, and as closure mechanisms.
Countersunk block magnets tend to be fragile! It is important to not over tighten the screw to avoid breaking them. With that said, we do not generally recommend using a drill to install these magnets. If you need tougher countersunk block magnets, take a look at our channel magnets. These magnets are encased in a steel channel which protects them from breaking as easily.
You'll often see countersunk block magnets used around the home and office to hang tools/knifes, secure tarps to boats, cars, mowers, motorcycles, bicycles, building materials and other outdoor, sports or gardening supplies and equipment.
Countersunk Block Magnets: North vs South Pole
Countersunk block magnets can either be countersunk on their north pole or on their south pole.
If a magnet is countersunk on its north pole, then the flat side is the south pole and the depressed side is the north pole. On the other hand, if a magnet is countersunk on the south pole, the south pole of the magnet is the depressed side and the north pole is the flat side.
When two countersunk block magnets are placed near together, they will only attract one another if they are paired properly. This means that a countersunk magnet with its north pole facing up will only draw a countersunk magnet with its south pole facing up, and vice versa. When two countersunk magnets with the same polarity pointing up are brought together, they will repel rather than draw one another.

Great small mags make work look nice
Used these to break the connection on Security Door Sensors, the 3m tape works perfectly also.
3/4 x 1/4 x 1/4 Inch Strong Neodymium Rare Earth Ring Magnets N52 (6 Pack)
I use 4 knives on a regular basis, and my favorite knife is steel, and subject to rust. This goes on the cabinet next to the sink; keeps the knives readily visible, clean, dry, sharp, and easily selected; prevents dampness as is possible in enclosed knife holders, and saves counter space. The right size for a 12” deep cabinet, and works like a charm.
We use total element magnets in all of our products
Simple, strong, uniform magnets at the specified dimensions, shipped promptly and without fuss. These are an excellent value for the money. Haven't seen any failure so far and I've used a lot of these.
Very nice and quick shipping
Decided to try this Supplier instead of the one I have used for many years. Prices are much cheaper...so was hesitant at first. Magnet is just as high quality as ones more than twice the price with the same "N" ratings. With many years experience utilizing Neodymium Magnets; I feel comfortable recommending this company. Adhesive discs are also outstanding performers. Cuts down on mounting time and they have not failed yet.
I used the product on wrench racks in my toolbox. Wrenches no longer move or slide around when moving my toolbox around a giant aircraft hangar. Outstanding strength in these magnets. Worked perfectly! Need some more actually!
Received the magnets. Very strong snd met my needs perfectly.
However, I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I am with totalElements in every step of the order so the five star rating is for them.
They are perfect
Thank you so much👍🏻😃
Multiple uses around my metal studio. Excellent magnets.
