I purchased these to be used as part of a kit consisting of variously sized, non-magnetic spheres and uniformly sized magnetic cylinders. At one inch long, they are no giants, but with the addition of the radius of the sphere, plenty easy for larger adult hands to readily manipulate. They are not cheaply made nor cheaply purchased, but the pricing is reasonable for the quality obtained. I have dealt with other magnetic cylinders that were far more brittle and prone to fracture. Granted, I am by no means careless, but have noted no damage to any of these magnets with significant, repeated usage in my sculptural constructs. They hold up well and have a solid attractive force that is appropriate for significantly sized builds. These magnets were purchased for my amusement and have not disappointed in any way.
