Strong Countersunk Neodymium Magnets for Sale

Neodymium countersunk magnets are magnets that have a conical recess or depression on one or both sides, enabling them to be fastened to another surface with a screw.

Neodymium countersunk ring magnets can be used to create a strong and reliable fastener, making them ideal for securely attaching magnets onto both magnetic and non-magnetic surfaces including wood, plastic, brass, copper, rubber, and aluminum. That makes these magnets popular in construction, woodworking, and industrial applications.

The countersunk hole enables a standard screw to be flush mounted into the magnet to securely fasten it into doors, closets, cabinets, chests, toolboxes, displays, signs, panels, art frames, and other hidden closure or attachment applications.

Closures can involve a pair of magnets with the countersunk holes on opposing poles, or one magnet and a steel disc.

Countersunk Disc Magnets: North vs South Pole

Countersunk disc magnets can either be countersunk on their north pole or on their south pole.

If a countersunk disc magnet is countersunk on its north pole, the north pole of the magnet is the depressed side, while the south pole is the flat side. Conversely, in a countersunk magnet that is countersunk on its south pole, the south pole of the magnet is the depressed side, while the north pole is the flat side.

When two countersunk disc magnets are brought close together, they will only attract each other if they are paired correctly. This means that a countersunk magnet with its north pole facing up will only attract another countersunk magnet with its south pole facing up, and vice versa. If two countersunk magnets with the same pole facing up are brought together, they will repel each other instead of attracting.
