They are high quality neodymium magnets and I'm enjoying having them around to reconfigure them before rebuilding the cube and having the magnets in the proper orientation so they are strong in the right dimensions. I think that they were worth the price.
Perfectly strong for my application, robust plating, easy to score one surface down only 1 layer to copper, so that epoxy will stick.
I used the thin magnets and steel plates sandwiched between leather and thin suede as a non visible closure.
I’m using them to hold golf towels on the frame of my golf cart; perfect!
Don't bother trying to save a few pennies on amazon buying cheap, unrated "neodymium" magnets. Buy from a reliable source and get exactly what is advertised and specified. I've been buying magnets from total element for a few years now and I've never been let down. Their magnets are identically specd compared to other, well-known, but more expensive magnet dealers. Total element will remain my magnet source for the long term future.
smooth exterior so it is possible to slide them apart, but definitely, they hold tightly together
Exactly the size I ordered and expected. The whole reason I came here was because the inaccuracy of what I was getting from the big online store. Thanks Total Element!
I ordered these little magnets for a project that I’m currently working on and they work fantastic!!
The1 x 1/4 inch neodymium countersunk ring magnets were perfect to hold 3D printed radiator cap mascots on my antique car. The 3-D printed mascots’ bases were routed out to inlay the magnets. A countersunkg metal **** into the mascot holds the magnet in place. Even at high speeds with much wind resistance these super strong magnets hold the mascot in place on the chrome plated radiator cap.
These magnets came highly recommended from a fellow crafter, and they did not disappoint. They are tiny, strong, and perfect for paper crafting.
These are PERFECT for my needs. They’re thin, ideal for using in leather crafts. I would recommend these to anyone in need of a strong thin magnet. I would buy again. Fast shipping and packaged well.
Fast shipping! Items were just what I wanted perfect for converting a backpack from Velcro to magnetic. Now it closes silently so I can use the bag in the library and other places where the ripping of Velcro is disturbing.
Thinking of other ways I can use these probably going to put an order in for more in the future!
I have a wall in my kitchen that I painted with magnetic paint, then painted over it with yellow, semigloss latex. Magnets stick to it pretty well, but not as well as they would to a sheet of metal (which is to be expected).
I had some metal tins that I was planning to use for spices, but the magnets they came with were not strong enough to hold them to the wall. I called to get some advice on size and strength of magnets, but the gentleman I spoke with had such a short attention span that he was not able to properly understand my situation, hence he was not able to advise me as well as he might have.
As it turns out, these 1.5" wide x 1/32" thick magnets didn't seem strong enough for the job. I followed this up with an order for some stronger magnets that were 1" x 1/8". I glued them to the backs of the metal tins, and although they seemed strong enough, when the tins were filled with spices, they would simply slide down the wall.
After much thought, I decided it was a friction problem, so I bought a rubbery spray called Plasti Dip, and sprayed it onto the 1" magnets. What a difference!!! Problem solved. There is now enough friction that the tins stay attached to the wall.
The Starbond Super Glue for magnets worked great.
