Channel magnets are standard neodymium countersunk block magnets that are encased in a protective steel housing on the N or S side. Engineered to provide superior sturdiness and impact resistance, this steel housing or channel is also ferromagnetic, thereby incrementally increasing the pull force of the magnet itself.

So, in addition to being exceptionally tough and resilient, neodymium channel magnets also provide a stronger pull force than regular neodymium block magnets of equal N-rating and size. This is because the metal housing focuses the magnetic field in one direction, increasing the magnet's holding power.

Please use extreme caution when handling these block magnets. They are incredibly strong and powerful, and can pose a serious risk to your safety.

These large, grade C5 block magnets are very difficult to separate and can snap back together with incredible speed and force. This may cause them to break and send small fragments flying into the air, potentially causing injury.

With 60 lbs of pull force, these block magnets can also severely pinch your fingers if they snap back together. For your safety, keep these strong magnets far apart and at a safe distance of several feet or more once separated. Hand and eye protection is strongly recommended when handling these magnets.
