Sold in Matched North/South Pairs
This pack includes 25 magnets with the adhesive on the north face and 25 with the adhesive on the south face, so one of each makes a pair that attracts.
Stick one magnet from each group to opposite surfaces, such as a door and its frame, and their exposed faces will pull together. Test which magnets attract before you peel the liners, because the adhesive can't be repositioned once it's pressed down. If one side is steel instead, any magnet in the pack will work.

How to Apply the Adhesive
Clean the surface, press the magnet firmly into place, and wait 24 hours before putting any load on it. The 3M VHB 4920 adhesive on these magnets reaches about 90% of its strength in 24 hours and full strength in 72 hours.
- Wipe the surface with isopropyl alcohol (70% rubbing alcohol works) and let it dry.
- Line the magnet up before you press it down. The adhesive grabs on contact and can't be moved.
- Press hard across the whole magnet with your thumb or a roller. Firm pressure is what makes the bond.
- Wait 24 hours before light use, and 72 hours before daily opening and closing or heavy loads.
The adhesive works best on smooth, non-porous surfaces: metal, glass, ceramic, hard plastics such as acrylic and polycarbonate, painted surfaces and sealed wood. Test powder-coated surfaces first. It bonds poorly to slick plastics like polyethylene and polypropylene, and to porous materials like raw wood, concrete and fabric. For raw wood, concrete and other porous surfaces, use a liquid glue such as Starbond Super Glue for Magnets instead.
