These disc magnets are diametrically magnetized which means that the north and south poles are on the on the curved surface rather than the flat ends of the magnet.

I am embedding these in 3D printed objects using oversized holes so that the magnets can rotate. The diametric magnetization lets me create objects that will attract each other without regard to polarity. The photo shows the print at the point where the printer has paused so that I can insert the magnets.
