Each set of adhesive block magnets includes 25pcs with the adhesive on the north pole, and 25pcs with adhesive on the south pole. This allows you to pair them together to create magnetic latches, fasteners, and other closures. Both the north and south poles will be attracted and attach to anything metal.

Adhesive Usage Instructions and Best Practices
3M VHB adhesive works best on smooth, clean, and non-porous surfaces such as metal, glass, plastics (like acrylic and polycarbonate), painted or powder-coated surfaces, and sealed wood. For optimal adhesion, surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned with isopropyl alcohol.
Due to the incredible strength of neodymium, we strongly recommend allowing 24 to 36 hours for the adhesive to cure.
However, for porous materials like raw wood, concrete, fabric, or unsealed surfaces, traditional glue or liquid adhesives provide a stronger bond, as VHB tape relies on full surface contact to achieve its high-strength hold.

The magnets work just fine
The magnets are strong. I fact so strong that the double sided adhesive does not hold to the plastic material on one side of my project. Therefore, I removed the doubled sided tape on that side of a magnet pair using epoxy to bond it to the PLA part. This works well. I'm pleaThe magnets are strong.
