Can I Solder or Weld to Neodymium Magnets?

Short answer

No. Soldering and welding heat a magnet far beyond what it can survive. Standard N-grade neodymium magnets start to lose strength permanently above 80°C (176°F), and around their Curie temperature of roughly 310°C (590°F) they lose their magnetism completely. Use epoxy or a mechanical mount such as screws, a pot magnet or a pocket instead.
